I own one of each and am not biased either way. An ar is certainly a more attractive gun but I would have to say that even though an ak is as you say "ugly" it is probably more dependable and rugged. An ak is the only gun I know of that will fire under water.:D
I certainly agree with investing in a good optic. Spavent is exact. A gun is only of use if your hitting your target. If spending 50% - 75% of my guns cost on optics is going to help my accuracy then looks like I'll be spending a chunk of change. Lol
Deaken, if we could ever find a decent range I would certainly need something more advanced. Also, who knows, I may have to take aim at a hovering drone or two.:p
Thanks for the help! I am more interested in testing the limits of my precision. I am a pretty decent shot short range without a scope. I need something to test the limits of my gun as well as my precision. I will definitely check out you tube.
I have recently bought a new Rock River AR-15. I am looking to customize it and I am honestly clueless as to what kind of scope I should get. This is my first assault rifle so like I said, I'm clueless. I would appreciate some input!
