History of each weapon is the best part of collecting real WWII pieces in the most original condition possible. Its not a cheap hobby, but rewarding and they aren't making anymore of them!
My TX-22 shoots everything with suppressor or not.
I do have a RMR mount for sale on here that works great for you red dot users. I just liked my Tandemkross iron sights better...
I’ve shot a lot of steel case, mainly coated 9mm and 7.62x39. I have had few issues with full 9mm extraction and a couple bad primers. It’s the only time my Glocks had issues.
I use it for shooting outdoor while plinking. I see no issue with using it if you can find it now. I don’t use it for...
Did anyone go to the Lawrenceville gun show today? I wanted to see if it was worth it, crowded and how over priced. I haven’t been to one in years, but want to find a WW2 M1 Carbine front sight I can’t find online.
I did find this source, but only see a tall front sight. Need to get a matching rear sight to get over the suppressor. I can eyeball it close range, but any distance is really hard.
Has anyone found extended front and rear sights for the Taurus TX22 pistol?
This is the best little host, but I need taller ones to install to get a clear sight picture.
I was at Walmart a week or so ago and stopped by the ammo counter to look at the empty shelves and saw 6 boxes of Remington 550 round .22 Lr for $29 a box. I bought the 2 I was allowed, but it restored my faith in Wally World....a little bit.
Yes exactly. I trust it to take to New Orleans and Miami for work trips. If I’m driving to my other areas I take my Glock 26 or Sig P365. If the Taurus gets stolen I won’t care as much. I bought it a little over a year ago on here; like new in box for $210. That was before people here thought...
I stop whenever I’m in the area. Has changed hands a few times, but pre pandemic they had good prices, decent accessory selection and nice folks. Glad to see they are getting back in the gun business.
It was 2 years and 4 months before I got my email letting me know my number was pulled. It is hard to tell what you will get, CMPs website has a forum on it where people post pics of what they received.
This photo doesn’t do the pistol justice. Mine is in almost perfect original finish and I have replaced a few parts since this with type 2 new old stock parts.
If you don’t appreciate the history of these imperfect 1911 pistols that don’t measure up to today’s standards for tactical 1911 pistols, don’t bother with this.
If you have the money and want to have one of a few pistols not made anymore, then this is for you.
I love my Remington Rand and am...
I ordered the service grade $1050 including shipping and the nice case, the highest except for the auction options. You never know what your going to get though. Mostly a mix of slide and grip sources, from original finish to re-parkerized and original to newer replacement parts.
