  1. 300 PRC

Thanks for your input, aligns with my expectation and did find some H1000. How did you like the Begara? It is on my short list to look at, but boy can you spend some money in this caliber. Also plan on using my Omega 46H or 36.
  2. 300 PRC

Going elk hunting next year and looking to add a 300 PRC but also don't want to add a new caliber without being able to load my own. Looking for thoughts and insights on reloading this cartridge. Currently reload 300 BO, 308, 6.5 CM, and 7mm08 so this will be my first magnum / long range load...
  3. Adventures in Reloading - Once-fired 308 Brass, Fluted Chambers and expensive gauges

I can sympathize, some plunk in the gauge, others need a little pressure, I can't offer any guidance just commiseration. I have made about every mistake possible, many more than once, but I keep trying. I haven't bought an annealer yet but it is on my list.
  4. I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today!

My favorite locals - Kirby Gs in McDonough and Mike's off Jodeco. To order, smashed and delicious
  5. New Tacomas are out

Just bought a '23 Tacoma Limited, knew the '24 was going to go with a turbo 4 cylinder and I didn't want that engine. Like posted above, I bought for reliability and capability, I don't go much offroad - only forest service roads and fields for hunting so don't need the lift and baja mode. I am...
  6. Adding person to NFA Trust

I don't want to hijack this thread, but like the OP I need to update my trust but my original lawyer hasn't responded to my emails or phone call, can anyone offer a suggestion?
  7. New to reloading

Started a little over two years ago, great advice already, either the RCBS or Hornady package (what I got) is a great way to get started. Brass, powder and primers are much more available now than when I started, and I did start to load 6.5 and 300 BO - both supers and subs. Buy at least two...
  8. Mistake #89 & #90

Gotta love good customer service, I tole them it was my fault, not a warranty issue, but sending me a new part at no charge
  9. Mistake #89 & #90

Posting this to hopefully help another beginner, I have made so many mistakes, most by just not paying attention. Recent purchases include H4350 for my 6.5 CM and some Berger .30 175gr VLD Hunting bullets for my 308, seemingly unrelated yet caused #89. I was loading my new 308 bullets...
  10. Help on CBTO

    Thanks gentlemen
  11. Help on CBTO

Trying to find the CBTO measurement for my rifles. I have the Hornady OAL gauge, the correct collars for the bullet diameter and the modified Hornady cases. The measurements I am getting on three different 308 bullets in my Remington 700 are all longer than the recommended OAL and the bullet is...
  12. My first attempt at loading .300BO subsonic (Velo results - ongoing)

H110 for 110gr and 120Gr supers, 1680 for subs 180 - 220gr, running in my build with a DD10.3" barrel with a suppressor. Have tried CFE Black on subs, but in my pistol 1680 works better and is cleaner (relatively, but suppressor = carbon)
  13. Primers

Powder Valley has more SRP and I think SPP in stock, bought some more SRP while I can as you never know when they will become scarce again
  14. Primers

    Powder Valley this morning...
  15. Primers

When I started 2 years ago I couldn't find powder, primers, and very little brass or bullets for the calibers I wanted. Got the initial powders and primers from ODT members, paid what they asked and also got some really good info and guidance. But do go to the websites for reloading supplies and...
  16. 7MM08 Brass?

As I am impatient I searched and bout what I needed, have over 200 120gr bullets and more than enough brass to last my grandson for - well, maybe a year but he likes to pull the trigger. This makes me happy
  17. For all you Fly Fisherman, reloaders, and old Porsche guys. Also some nice shotguns and rifles. ESTATE Sale.

Wow - just like me (except for the Porsche stuff) but had a lot more money. And I thought I was a pack rat
  18. I can't believe the way I was treated at Discount Tire in Hiram

I drive past 3 other tire shops to get to Discount Tire off of Hudson Bridge road, free air, free patching, great prices on new tires, very friendly staff, never had a problem.....great company
  19. Got a stoopid question

I read the post title and thought - " I am the boss of stoopid reloading questions, I can help" but of course others have answered first. Just when I thought I could help I am too late.
  20. Acid Reflux/ GERD

This is my story, pantoprazole was a life saver, pain so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. Now it's just every so often, especially if I am going out to a nice restaurant. Brown liquor was a killer for me, so is beer to a degree, vodka not so much, but best to avoid it all if you can...
