I have a Shapleigh auto with two blades. One listing I found called it a button knife.
there is not much info out there about this brand. The patents are from 1910.

Cylinder is tight and smooth. Trigger is crisp and strong. Trigger release is lighter than I expected. The bore is more dusty than rusty. Rifling looks very good.
my uncle has what I think is a Colt 1860 Army civilian. It has a ship on the cylinder. Serial # 96753. Seems strange to have a ship on an Army model. Am I going in the right direction in identifying this gun.
