Colt ball&cap

my uncle has what I think is a Colt 1860 Army civilian. It has a ship on the cylinder. Serial # 96753. Seems strange to have a ship on an Army model. Am I going in the right direction in identifying this gun.
Any and all help appreciated.
 
Could you post a pic? Both the '51 and '60 had Naval scenes. Here's a pic of my '60, reproduction.

Cylinder is tight and smooth. Trigger is crisp and strong. Trigger release is lighter than I expected. The bore is more dusty than rusty. Rifling looks very good.
 
I think you're in the ball park. I purchased this 1860 with military cartouche's, made in 1862 about a year ago. I paid $1600. It functions as it should, good bore.
