    Newport Single 12 ga forgrip loose

    The pin angled forward, so the grip will not stay in place. It is not bent, I think I could tap it back in place, but I left it angled so the picture would make sense. It looks like the pin was previously peened in place. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

    yeah, I pulled the bullets and dropped to 44 grains. 48 would have probably been ok as noted above, but I feel perfectly safe at 44 grains.

    Thanks for the answers. I'll measure the barrel and post the answer. I think I will follow biker_bill advice and take the loads apart and drop the powder.

    I loaded .270 with a 130 grain Hornady SST and 48 grains of Varget. Now I am a little worried that the load might be to the high side of pressure. I wonder if I should take the bullets out and drop the load by 2 grains, or just test fire the load first. Also, I know Varget is not the ideal...
