    308 16 inch Barrel Info

    I had a 16” .308 and hated it. Shot a flame out about 2’ and bucked pretty hard. Had a custom rifle made with 20” and it’s nearly perfectly balanced and shoots great. Given the opportunity over though, I’d go 18” i. I think that’s the perfect length

    6” of rain is 36 gallons measured over 1 square yd of area. When you have an acre or two of runoff with that much rain, it has to flow to the lowest point in the area. That would be your pond.

    Not saying they don’t, but I definitely wouldn’t bet my lunch money in ANYTHiNG a sales rep said. Good or bad!! Not the typical MIM dots for sure. On the safety. The slide stop is tool steel no doubt. The fire control group is indeed MIM. Hammer, sear and disconnector all have mold dots.

    I have an AF 1911 Commander threaddd barrel. Fit and finish is beyond excellent. Nice trigger. I’m a 1911 guy and it is as good as it gets.

  18. What would be your 3 or 4 main hunting rifle caliber round to keep?

    For anything here in the south, I’d get a nice handy .22, AR in .556, a 20” barreled .308, and a .30-06. In fact that’s what I have and I’ve never wanted anything else. I forgot about my lever .44 magnum carbine.

    2022 era TRP with about 500rds through it. Bought new. Includes everything in box. Has some holster marks from Kydex holster. This is a Cerakoted finish Springfield. Gun has been inspected and tuned for reliability. Very smooth fit.
