I think I want to be more efficient. I can run and gun, shoot steel, shoot from a barricade etc. I feel like I’m at a plateau and need to be evaluated on what will make me just a little smoother in my draw to first shot. Then work on getting smoother with target transition.
A refinement of all...
Hey guys. I’ve been out of the training circle for a while. I recently got back into shooting after a five year hiatus while I was rebuilding my life. From 2008-14, I attended quite a few top tier national training classes and really enjoyed the hobby. Life happened and just got back to where I...
Belt slide. I wouldn’t open carry like that but I do slide my 1911 in my pants sometimes if I’m just going to check something out outside. Makes me feel like Magnum PI
I had a 16” .308 and hated it. Shot a flame out about 2’ and bucked pretty hard. Had a custom rifle made with 20” and it’s nearly perfectly balanced and shoots great. Given the opportunity over though, I’d go 18” i. I think that’s the perfect length
6” of rain is 36 gallons measured over 1 square yd of area. When you have an acre or two of runoff with that much rain, it has to flow to the lowest point in the area. That would be your pond.
Not saying they don’t, but I definitely wouldn’t bet my lunch money in ANYTHiNG a sales rep said. Good or bad!!
Not the typical MIM dots for sure. On the safety. The slide stop is tool steel no doubt.
The fire control group is indeed MIM. Hammer, sear and disconnector all have mold dots.
I will detail strip mine this evening and see if they truly have MIM parts. I can’t say for sure either way yet. It’s higher quality than my TRP though. I feel like I got ripped off in that one. My Baer had so many flaws I couldn’t justify keeping it. Sold it cheap. I still have about 500 rds to...
Dawsonville G and P had a slightly used one missing front sight insert. It appears to be a small plastic bead. I blackened my rear dots to subdue them.
Mine is a 9mm. I fired two hundred rounds through it the first day without cleaning. I’ve fired three hundred after cleaning. Usually I’ll detail strip and polish all internals after two hundred but this didn’t have anything that needed additional work.
I’ve got three Brownells mags that...

For anything here in the south, I’d get a nice handy .22, AR in .556, a 20” barreled .308, and a .30-06. In fact that’s what I have and I’ve never wanted anything else. I forgot about my lever .44 magnum carbine.
