  1. what have you done to prep 3/2021

I continue to add to my water/food supply on a weekly basis. Buying more guns, mainly for fun...but more guns can't hurt...and ammo when I can find a decent price. Also, shooting as much as I can.
  2. New to the prepping game

I'm outside the perimeter and I agree 100%
  3. Booze/Coffee/Cigarettes

I hear you...my family doesn’t like a dad without his morning cup of coffee. I look at booze as a barter tool and coffee as a “must have” for myself and a way to offer a “treat” to a friend or neighbor the days and weeks after the SHTF. You scratch their back and hopefully they scratch yours
  4. Booze/Coffee/Cigarettes

read the other two books in that series, I think you will like them
  5. Booze/Coffee/Cigarettes

I don’t drink, nor do I smoke...I do drink my fair share of coffee. After reading the entire series by William R Forstchen (One Second After; One Year After; The Final Day) - I’m thinking about adding a few bottles of booze, a few carton of cigs and plenty of coffee for bartering. Also - the...
  6. T Minus 13 Days and Counting until the Purge

No, she hasn't...but doesn't look good. It's also looking like 2 run-offs for the GA Senate seats...we lose the Senate and all us gun lovers are screwed.
  7. T Minus 13 Days and Counting until the Purge

Unfortunately looks like Biden is going to win...all the riots are about to magically go away
  8. Ok so here the deal

    100% agree
  9. Anyone feeling the need to put up food more the usual?

i do this as I buy it...although I’m an idiot and right now it’s saved on my iPhone...need to put it on paper, just haven’t yet
  10. Anyone feeling the need to put up food more the usual?

I’ve been adding to my emergency food supply by purchasing an few extra items that will last a few years each time I go to the grocery store...seems to be adding up quickly, which is a good feeling.
  11. New to the prepping game

I’ll take a look, currently reading “The John Matherson Series”, on the 2nd of the 3, “One Year After”.
  12. New to the prepping game

I’m not that advanced yet lol. My current approach being so new to the game is buying “real” foods here and there that have a long shelf life (a few years)...and some stuff we eat now that doesn’t have quite as long. I’m keeping track of my inventory and the expiration dates so we can pull it...
  13. New to the prepping game

Curious as to how many of y’all use “real” food versus MRE/Freedom Bucket style...
  14. New to the prepping game

I stopped putting my life on social media probably two years ago...I just got tired of the whole "look at my perfect life" when we all know everyone has their problems...I also stopped checking it for the most part...maybe every once in a blue moon I will take a look, but rarely.
  15. New to the prepping game

Good idea...I don’t pay much attention to local news like I should, more the national news front.
  16. New to the prepping game

I actually picked up a Sawyer filter today.
  17. New to the prepping game

Every time I go somewhere now, I'm thinking, "what is just one thing I can pick up to add to my "stash"...it really feels slightly addicting, not sure if that is a good or a bad thing...probably good if SHTF and bad...for my wallet.
  18. New to the prepping game

Def going to order a bunch of life straw filters for the family. I already have a good bit of camping gear, including backpack stoves, tarps, tents, etc...working mainly on water/food at the moment...and ammo...
  19. New to the prepping game

Thanks for all the input thus far...baby steps for this guy, but at least steps in the right direction
  20. New to the prepping game

My first thought is preparation to shelter in place as I don’t have a location to “bug out”. I worry about food, water and shelter currently...not running away from a threat...is that not the way to think?
