Out of shape people are going to die first?
I'm a fatazz. I'm trying to work on it though. I might appear to be out of shape. But I run/jog a lot now. Last sunday I ran/jogged/walked 10.1 miles. I've done 50 miles recently in the past 28 days. I'm about to head to town to get my run/jog/walk/whatever on. I'm not looking to get a... -

Generators for emergencies...
Sorta and no... An inverter is not efficient. And you'll never get a high output from them. Also your talking a lot of conversion loss. -

Problem is, the glow plug controller will die. The two alternators will die. The IP electromagnetic shutoff valve *should* survive. But the rest of the electrical system that controls it will be in shambles. Push came to shove, you could pretty easily jumper the IP to 12v, then use a small... -

unopened Crisco will last for years. While its not the best for you, consider it to be useable in other ways when SHTF. Lubricant, lamp oil, exc. -

I have a question..
SHTF and I'm not bugging out. I'm bugging in. I've got a listeroid genset I'm working on to power the house. Have a number of vehicles around that will run on anything flammable. (oil, kerosene, gasoline, exc.) I just need to stock up a bit more on food and medical supplies.
