Gto pain killer corojo was a damn fine smoke and can’t go wrong with any la flor de dominicana, that one is the la nox with some home made muscadine wine and apples(I call it mangria).
I like to cook them in all kinds of stuff! A few things I've already cooked with them are burgers, I like to chop up the mushrooms and some fresh jalapeños and patty it all together. A nice medium rare chanterelle burger with a cold drink and a few buddies doesn't get much better.

Eat em!!!! They go great in pastas and well with just about any meat or veggie. I cook them into a cream sauce and eat it over chicken or steak. Or over some Alfredo!!!
lol I gotcha, well now is prime time to look for morels. Ground has gotten warm and we have been getting a little bit of rain. Especially now that the weather has gotten beautiful! As for specific time you can go in the morning or afternoon doesn't matter lol!
I don't think there is a specific time but I have a good spot that always puts up a lot of chanterelles and I drop by there every time I'm in the woods to see if any have popped up. It's still a little early, but I always find the most chanterelles when the weather is the least comfortable lol...
