    Some WMA's I've had good luck at are Allatoona, John's Mtn, Pine Log and Paulding to name a few. Caliber is up to you though, I've used everything from 30-30 to 7mm mags. Most of the wma's I've listed are fairly close.

    I wouldn't read to deep into what I was saying. What I meant was that in terms of ballistics putting a deer down quick is better with say a 30.06 than a 223? But what the heck, if you shot the deer in the head it doesn't really matter then does it? Ballistics of calibers is a long subject in itself.

    You can kill deer with an AR15 but shot placement is key.

    Lot of guys in all three places you mentioned. Go try out Shefield wma close to Paulding wma, just be ready to walk. They keep the gate closed to it during turkey season.
