I'm lucky to have a good friend with 400ac near Rome Ga who let's us hunt out there so I thought I would try out a product from MossyOak Biologic called "Hotspot". I've got a stand between 2 bedding areas in an open hardwood area with a large field maybe 200yds away. All they say to do in establishing the food plot is rake all the leaves away, fertilize the area, and spread the seed. I'm trying to plan this out right before any rain to help the plot. You guys have any experience with this stuff? What do you use, any tricks to this for maximum yield?

Tried it several years ago, with little success. I had better luck with the Pennington brand Rackmaster. But, you never know, I may have just had picky deer.
