OK, I have a slightly different question related to yote hunting. If your intent is to have them mounted, is it still better to go with lower caliber cartridge (22LR/223) or something larger (7.62x39, 7.62x51)?
I have been looking through the regulations, but can't seem to really find what I am looking for with regards to hunting yotes in the national forest.. So here are my specific questions...
1. Can they be hunted at night?
2. With it being small game season, do we need to use rimfire or pellet guns?
Sure wouldn't want people increasing their chances of filling their freezers with game meat and the government not getting the tax money from purchasing farm raised meat.
Thanks for the suggestions on Turkey hunting. Let me ask, does wild turkey taste different than farm raised? Not much of a turkey eater, and would hate to kill something for the sake of doing so...
I used a friend's to see if I liked it. But he is a good bit taller than me, so when it fell, it fell to what he has it set for. It happened on the first 'step' down, guess i didn't have my feet right when i pulled it away from the tree.

This was the first year that I have ever hunted. But d***, I simply don't get it. I went out about 12 times and didn't even see anything the first 9 times. I just don't get it, unless I am simply that terrible at this.
