Not a Mountain Lion, That is a Jaguar from South and Central America. They used to be in Nevada, Arizona, Texas and Louisiana, Some say they still are.
I plant and maintain hunting acreage for a living and find that most hunters dont express the difference between a food plot and a "kill plot". A food plot is for growing wildlife (or antlers) and is big enough to handle heavy feeding pressure, a kill plot usually gets annihilated several times...
So weve got German Shorthair Pointers ,Boykin Spaniels, Black Labs, Brittany Spaniels , Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Poodles to train to be goose/hog dogs. This is hilarious

Nobody thinks about planting until Sept but the best time to plant clover is February.
What will happen is it will grow, spread roots and drop seed and even if heat or drought kills it back, it will bounce back as soon as temps and rain let it.
If you want thick clover patches during deer season...
Yep, Clover should be growing about right now.
Are your oats growing or just staying the same size and waiting on spring?
Mine always get about 4 inches tall and then take off again in spring.
