  1. Is this a bobcat or mountain lion on trail camera in cartersville?

Not a Mountain Lion, That is a Jaguar from South and Central America. They used to be in Nevada, Arizona, Texas and Louisiana, Some say they still are.
  2. Food plots

I plant and maintain hunting acreage for a living and find that most hunters dont express the difference between a food plot and a "kill plot". A food plot is for growing wildlife (or antlers) and is big enough to handle heavy feeding pressure, a kill plot usually gets annihilated several times...

Don't get me wrong, Just like big 4WD trucks and Jeeps without any limb scratches down the side of them, These hunts are useful for profiling purposes. I think its nice when the less than rugged pretend to be like us.

Years ago I was invited on a hunt that was being paid for by a supplier. The night before the "Hunt" I was given a photo album to pick the deer that I wanted to "Hunt" It was very awkward to hang out at that lodge for the rest of the weekend after the words I said at that table.

  11. Deer hunting with cows

I like hunting around livestock, If a buck is around they will all stop what they are doing and stare at him. Cows and horses both do it. They don't care about does but they look at a buck.
  12. Turkey eggs?

Looks like a typical turkey nest to me. Cant see the eggs very well they should be bigger than a chicken egg and brown and white speckeled. Usually 10 or 12 eggs
  13. I am convinced that food plots are far better than feeders

Nobody thinks about planting until Sept but the best time to plant clover is February. What will happen is it will grow, spread roots and drop seed and even if heat or drought kills it back, it will bounce back as soon as temps and rain let it. If you want thick clover patches during deer season...
  14. I am convinced that food plots are far better than feeders

Everytime Ive planted them they got mowed down. Rabbits and squirrels love them too.
  15. I am convinced that food plots are far better than feeders

Yep, Clover should be growing about right now. Are your oats growing or just staying the same size and waiting on spring? Mine always get about 4 inches tall and then take off again in spring.

You safety weenies need to calm down until we see a picture of the guy, He might actually look like a fallow deer.
  17. Old School Deer Hunting

Yep, How about "Doe day" ? The one day of the season that you were allowed to shoot a doe IF you had not already harvested a buck
  18. Old School Deer Hunting
