Great job! We have the same problem up here in Wilkes County. Back during deer season, I was waiting for Bambi's Mom when a buncha piglets came out. All I had was my 30-30 but figured... Gotta kill'em. I got three, but the 30-30 made a mess of them. They were smaller than a cat, so I was happy...
Hey ODT! I'm fairly new to hunting, but my buddy has been hunting since he was a kid. I took a nice doe yesterday and while dressing her, we saw something we have not seen before. She had a 1/2 inch layer of fat over much of her body. We hunt in Wilkes, so this is the first year we could bait...
They disappeared last year, but came back with a vengeance this year. I was out checking trail cams earlier this week and ran into them left and right. I though I was back in Texas. Went out last night to see if I could knock some down. No luck, but I'll go back.
- Bambi pitched a no hitter last year (was was out of town for much of the season), so I wanna put some meat in the freezer.
- I wanna take one with my crossbow. Never did bow hunting, so wish me luck.
- We have a hog problem, so I wanna make sure there's pork in the freezer too.
Me too, Dr. I have hunted deer and hog, but this will be my first season with turkeys. Glad I saw your post. Reading the advice. I'm gonna try with a crossbow. Wish us both luck.
Very Nice. Good luck to you. We have some big boys we want to cull. One is a BIG buck that only has spikes, same as last year. Another has four on one side and two on the other. He's limping on his left, so I'm sure its due to an injury. Another has four on one side and nothing on the other...
