    Is the GUNLOADS software worth it? I don’t have a convenient place to test loads anymore, so I’m thinking it would help me tweak loads if its as good as people say it is. Are there any good apps?

  12. Favorite 9mm 147 1000fps load

    I went to 147 a few years ago and have cast for it. I load Red Dot (cause I have a lot) Unique and WSF in adequate loads. I'm consumed with the idea of a AR 9. I'd like to mimic 147 carry ammo @1000fps. I have some LongShot that im going to chrono. I'll also try a stout Unique load as well.

    Looks like 3N37 or even N350 might be a more versatile choice as they show plated and cast data. Anyone have any to part with or know who stocks it?

    Somebody on Brian Enos forum suggested 3N38 for 1200fps without crazy pressure. There was much flailing about after that. It was an old thread though.

    Im looking to replicate my carry ammo an get 1000fps out of a 147gr JHP or even a plated HP. I have lots of mid range powders, but nothing that will quite get me there. I load lots of soft shooting cast loads in several Pistol calibers. Any favorites?

    Agreed. I thought WSF was a well established 147 powder in the defensive pistol competition crowd. I'm not as passionate about my powder selection.
