I reload 38 super. I actually like the berrys 124 grain HBTP bullets for my open gun. For powder I use IMR 4756, VV3N38, or Longshot. I use any brass I can find with a egw U die to resize it all the way to the rim. My gun is compensated. Just my opinion but if your set on a edge get it in... -

The comp will have a lot to do with what powder is used. Older guns built when the power factor was 175 like huge charges of slow powder (aa7, AA9, n105, ect). Newer guns seem to have lots of options. My personal favorites so far are IMR 4756, HS6, longshot, and AA9. I was shooting 9 major so... -

Rifle - varget Pistol - trite group, clays (JUST the regular not universal), 231, HS6 or Hp38 There are lots of good pistol powders and " most" any that works for 45 also works reasonably well for 9, and the other way around. -

You can but you need to back down your mix some and test. Also there has been some cases of breach face erosion due to lower pressure pistol ammo not sealing the harder riffle primers and gasses coming out from around the primer and cutting the breach face. Not anything I have seen personally... -
