  4. Got a stoopid question

A friend asked me if I would reload a box of 150 grain and I said sure. Then I see I only had 6 bullets. Got about 1500 125 grain. Both are Spitzer soft points. He is going to sight a new scope in and I mainly use them for target practice. I don’t hunt anymore but I live in an area where I can...
  5. Got a stoopid question

For years I bought my reloading supplies from a locally owned and operated store. Barrett’s gun and reloading. When I needed projectiles for reloading 30-0-06 I simply told him I need however many boxes of 150 grain 30-0-06 bullets i wanted and he got them for me. Well he passed away and now I...
  6. Getting back into reloading after 5 year break

Not only is it fun but it is very, VERY relaxing. I too always put quality over quantity every time. I ALWAYS double check each and every case individually and also check every one before I seat a bullet to make sure none look “too full” of powder.

  8. Getting back into reloading after 5 year break

That was my exact thoughts when I decided to start reloading again. I was thinking I got between 8 and 10 thousand each of small pistol primers, magnum pistol primers, large rifle primers. 42 lbs of various powders, and umpteen thousand 38/357, 9 mm, 380, 243 and 30-0-06 projectiles. I was...

  12. Getting back into reloading after 5 year break

I reloaded my own ammo for years then I took a break from it,,,,,,,,, a five year break. I still have my equipment, case’s, projectiles, primers, powders etc. I am getting the urge to go at it again. My question for you fine folks is this: all my powder is still in the cabinets built into my...

    These are definitely boxer primed.
  16. 38 spcl / 30 +P case question,,,,,,,

Great. It will be easy to determine if they're steel or nickel then. :thumb:
  17. 38 spcl / 30 +P case question,,,,,,,

Does a magnet not stick to nickel?
  18. 38 spcl / 30 +P case question,,,,,,,

And for the record, all the cases stamped +P are steel of course. ( didn't mention that earlier)
  19. 38 spcl / 30 +P case question,,,,,,,

    That's icing on the cake.
  20. 38 spcl / 30 +P case question,,,,,,,

That's what I figured. I know what the +P means I just wanted to make sure other members had loaded them before I wasted time cleaning, sizing etc just to find they wouldn't work or chamber the same. As always ODT comes through. Thanks guys and all others are welcome to chime in.
