Looking for a jug of CFE pistol if anybody runs across some. I was able to find a jug of CFE223 just sitting on the local shelf last week but no luck with the pistol brand.
Guys need your input on the best manual case trimmer for the buck. I will be doing mostly .223 and 30/30 brass.
I have read up on the Lyman and the RCBS.
Which one of these would you go with?
Do you have any others you would recommend?
If they are grouping that well I would think thats a good reload and it may be other issues, but it will be hard to say without a rest to test it out.
More skilled members will chime in soon as I am curious aswell.:)
I have cast and loaded several of my own bullets but have had the same issues as you have stated. I have found that the 9mm has some of the lowest tolerance levels in regards to sizing and lenghth of the overall round you create.
They would not chamber properly and seldom had accurate results on...
I am loading .223 in the following components. Any one else in the ballpark or slightly higher of a charge?
Just curious on upping the charge and opinions from folks in the same ballpark.
55grn Hornandy Zmax
LC brass trimmed to 7.750
24.5 grns Benchmark
Federal Small Rifle Primer.
I have done a lot of googlin and its about 50/50 on whether or not the shorter trim length has any safety concerns.
Most say the OAL is the key , not the trim lenght. Just trying to learn what I can since I have never loaded any 223 before.
