  1. drying bulk brass post Stainless Tumble the easy way.

I did not even know there was such as thing as a designated brass dryer - I called it an oven ;) Talk about re-branding or re-purposing a food dehydrator. I love it - wish I would have thought of that.
  2. Need some help with .300 Blackout

The buffer and buffer spring are standard for what would be in a regular "carbine" - not sure how to ID them more accurately. The gas port (bleed off hole) is about 4.5" from the chamber mouth. (Barrel length is 7.5")
  3. drying bulk brass post Stainless Tumble the easy way.

I have been using the oven drying method for years. I have multiple cookie sheets just for that purpose. However most of the time I just let the cases sit on a towel and air dry. I have never needed brass immediately. So if it takes a few days no worries....
  4. Need some help with .300 Blackout

Today was the first day I took this rifle out. Initial function tests with 150 gr FMJ commercial loads was less than stellar. I had multiple function problems and only got off a few rounds. Failure to feed, Failure to eject, and double feeding were the main culprits. (The magazine was...

  6. What are good prices now?

Living down the road from Georgia Arms has its advantages :) I usually drive by there twice a day. The one problem I see in general is the huge increase in quality bullet prices. Seems like a 100 piece box of lets say of a generic .308" 165 grain SPBT is about $25-$30 no matter where you...
  7. Reloading range pick up?

I use range pick up brass. Just carefully inspect it after a thorough cleaning. Never had any problems at all with any of it. However I would not use rifle brass that showed multiple firings. As for basic pistol; 9mm, .38/357, .40, .45 ACP I see absolutely no problems with using it. As a...
  8. .45-70 and IMR 3031 ?

Just starting out to reload for the .45-70 and have been looking at various powders to use. Consistently IMR 3031 is shown as being a good across the board powder for this cartridge. I plan on strictly shooting 350 grain jacketed FP or HP bullets with a standard large rifle primer...
