I second Starline brass, I've never had issue ordering directly through them with items listed as backordered. It's usually cheaper that way compared to buying from other companies.
I picked up a 45-70 years ago that came with about 80 rounds of "factory ammo". The ammo was loose and in a cigar box, but he said it was Remington. I took him for his word (won't make that mistake again) and bought the gun. After awhile I took the time to inspect the ammo and thought I should...
Yup, I've seen some questionable looking posts here listed as "factory ammo" that could cause some serious harm that not only cause legal issues but financially ruin them if their reloads harms the buyer.
Usually better to just buy factory made when buying loaded ammo, whole point to reloading is to find what works best in the rifle it's being shot out of.

I've haven't gotten around to shooting or reloading for my 260 yet, but from my research on what others used on elk were either Barnes or Partition style bullets. I think the top choices for hunters were the 140gr Nosler Partition/Accubond & Sierra Gameking, some like to use the 130gr Barnes...
Thanks on the feedback everyone, after going through their website I couldn't find any load data that they list up but they do say with a phone call or email they will offer suggested starting loads. I plan to email them soon to get the info.
I've read about Hammer bullets a short while ago...
I ordered 100 bullet's of their .338 ESP Raptor in 175 gr for my 338 Federal. They're on sale @ their website, so I figured it'd be fun to try out.
Since it's different from the standard bullet's I've tried in the past, I thought someone here might have some insight on them in general.
I will definitely try this place out one day!
I always looked just in Georgia for a rifle range but I won't be paying some huge amount of money to target shoot a few times a year just so I can shoot further than 100 yds. For just $30 a day with no membership is insane for what you get compared...
You could always get a cheap hand reloading set up for it & roll your own. It's pretty easy, just need a few extras like a reloading manual, caliper, dies & cheap hand case trimmer.

For the 243 wssm it'd be a good idea to...
I always liked the 260 rem & it should work on most anything. I probably would have picked one up myself if I didn't already have a long range 308 & a lightweight 243.
But chances are if I new I'd come across some big body deer that I didn't want to track I'd grab my Sako 85 in 338 fed. I...
I've been wanting a rifle in this caliber for over a year now. It has such a cool history to it. I always keep an eye on gunbroker for a deal. Really want a Sako Black Bear in one.
If your going to reload I'd go with 44 mag, 45 colt or 454 casull. I ended up going with the 454 in a Super Redhawk, I like that I can shoot the 45 colt in it for standard hunting and still have the 454 casull for bear loads.
There's Creekside Firing Range close to where I live that with membership has 300 & 500 yd ranges.

Also, there is one a little south of Atlanta that has a 1,000 yard range i think, but I can't remember the name of it.
You should be ok for that weight of...
Are you looking to use these for target shooting only?
Accuracy wise, it could all depend on far the bullet is seated from the lands, or if your gun likes that amount of powder. It's a trial by error when it comes to loading to find the right recipe. I tend to load up lot's of four in 1 gr...
I've seen some powder at TruPrep in Marietta & Cherokee Gun & Pawn when I can get the time to stop by there. But they usually have the stuff I don't use. Might work for you though.
