  1. Total Noob Questions about first reloading setup

It is. I've robbed all the parts I can from my piggyback 1 and I am one nylon bushing away from not being able to use it anymore. I have to say that rcbs has the most outstanding customer service I've ever dealt with in my life. The same dude has answered the phone every time I've called them...
  2. 10mm over book velocities

Its fine. Sizing die will iron that right out. Like the younguns say, If it seats it yeets. 😆
  3. Total Noob Questions about first reloading setup

I use a rock chucker single stage and a rock chucker with a piggyback 2 for my progressive press. I'm about to have to upgrade because there are parts no longer made for my piggyback 2 and I'm kind of dreading it because I'm so used to it.
  4. Magnum pistol primers

Winchester have always been my favorites too. Thanks to the Obama years though, I have a ton of worked up load data for using every conceivable combination of small pistol and small rifle primers for loading pistol rounds.
  5. Primers?

You got to get out and look. Estate sales are awesome for reloading stuff because no one knows what it's worth.
  6. New to reloading

Reloading is the most money you'll ever spend to save money. 😆 Going and watching someone is definitely the way. If you really get into it 300 blackout is an excellent round for shooting lead bullets. Bullets are a huge expense and casting your own definitely brings your price per round way down.
  7. Primers?

I've lucked into some amazing stuff over the years that helped build my hoard. The old man that taught me to cast and reload gave me a hundred pounds of 4895 and blc2 and 50k .308 bullets. I stopped at an estate sale once and got 5, 5 pound jugs of various pistol powders a press and a box full...
  8. Primers?

After the Obama shortage I stocked up with enough primers and powder to last the rest of my life. When it comes to reloading I go through periods where I will just do a whole lot of a particular thing. Like casting bullets or processing brass. After a while you get ahead of the game enough when...
  9. Primers?

I'm not shooting as much in the last year or so but still have gone through 3k .38 special. Lead bullets don't wear out barrels. I cast my own. Now that I have a 10mm I'm about to develop a couple of loads and fill up a couple of 50 cal ammo cans with it. When I had a range in my backyard I...
  10. Primers

Take your wife and your girlfriend with you. Lol
  11. Primers

I'm glad I stocked up after the Obama shortage. I doubt we'll ever see 20 dollars a thousand again.
  12. Primers

Ga. Arms had some last Friday. Limit 200 per customer.
  13. Anyone tried .357 180 gr in the 35 Remington?

Accurate molds is my go to. They custom make your mold to your specifications.
  14. Getting back into reloading after 5 year break

I have powder and primers bought in the 70s that the guy that taught me how to reload gave me that I'm still using up. Out of the 25 or so pounds of powder he gave me only one had gone bad.
  15. Any Wildcat Experts Here?

Whatever it is I'm sure its a screamer. P.O. Ackley has a chapter in his book about the .17 javelina and shooting wild donkeys with it. Apparently it turned them off like flipping a switch.
  16. Any Wildcat Experts Here?

Went and looked in my P.O. Ackley books and can't find a .17 made from a 30-30 parent case
  17. Is this legit?

As a business owner, I wouldn't build **** right now. If you're making money, keep making it and hold where you're at. I know I'm pretty risk adverse after getting thrown under the bus at the beginning of the rona. I'm not even going to attempt to rebuild my business until after the next...
  18. What would you buy

A single stage is a must for loading rifle rounds for accuracy. I can't load any rifle rounds in my progressive other than .223. When I go to the trouble of loading something like .308 or 30-338 I want match grade accuracy.
  19. .22 hornet

    Its gone
  20. .22 hornet

If anyone reloads for .22 hornet I have 50 pieces of brass free to a good home. If no one wants it I'm dropping it off at deercreek next time I'm in Marietta.
