So I went back and checked. All the rounds passed the plunk test just fine. They also fit in a known good mag. My guess is that one of my mags is a bit older and just had less room for the rounds. I pushed the bullets in .03 inches and all did fine on plunk test and all mag checks.
Thanks...
Been loading 9mm and 223 for a couple years. Just plinkers. I'm wanting to work on 380, so I loaded up some ladder test rounds using Titegroup 2.6 to 3.0 grains with a 100gn RNFP plated bullet. My load data says to keep it at .980 OAL.
I now know that I should have tried chambering them...
Anyone ever used any Lightning Ammo bullets? I found a pretty good deal on 1,000 22 call 55 grain FMT-BT W/C for $66+shipipng
I figured I'd give them a shot. Seems like a nice deal on some plinking bullets if they are any good. Anyone tried this manufacturer?
I would say if you're doing 1000's of rounds then yes. I can crank out 100 rounds in just over 30 minutes. I've loaded several thousand rounds on my turret.
Like most, I hate prepping rifle cases. I have a worlds finest trimmer for 223 and it is pretty good, but I have seen threads here recommending the Giraud Tri Way trimmer as the way to go. I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading.
The biggest thing I like is that it looks like it would cut out...
I've only ever loaded my .223 with CCI #41 primers. I heard/read somewhere that using normal small rifle primers could lead to slam fires.
How accurate is that? Is it worth the extra money or is the slam fire concern more of a rumor?
There is a hand held decapping tool called the "THE HARVEY DEPRIMER." Looks to be a small company http://www.harveydeprimer.com/ but might be exactly what you are looking for.
Found this video on youtube that shows it in action.
I'm looking to do some 12ga skeet loading. Completely new to shotshell reloading and am looking on where to get components. Is there anywhere locally (NW Atlanta) to get shells, wads and shot?
