Love my '06 TJ, my 3rd Jeep. Do they need to be worked on from time to time? Yep. Do they get good gas mileage? Nope, at least for the old reliable 4-slow. Can you take the top off, go ride and enjoy making memories with the kids? All day long. It's a lifestyle, I just enjoy driving it.
My daily:
Next week:
The shop did a cheap repair on my son's brakes, car didn't stop now he's in the hospital.
Kidding. Well, a little. Don't cheap out on brakes.
I'm in Macedonia, here are a few shops I recommend and personally know the owners:
Sewell Automotive, Thomas is an Eagle Scout and a good guy.
C&C Auto Service in Waleska, David and his guys are great. Just regeared my Jeep and installed new control arms. Couldn't be more pleased.
I know it's a drive, but we have a shop called Boot 2 Bonnet in Cherokee that does excellent work. Probably one of the best detailing shops I've seen. You can check out some of their work on FB.
Found this, might help:
Remove the HVAC/ECAS fuse for a minimum of 10 seconds.
•Install the HVAC/ECAS fuse.
•Start the vehicle.
•Wait 40 seconds for the HVAC control module to self-calibrate.
'04 Jeep WJ, 4.0L, 263K. I use Mobil 1 Full Synthetic high mileage every 5K with a mopar filter.
I'm sending a sample to Blackstone for analysis on my next change.
