Just saw this. 14k miles. MPG is 14.5 pretty much all the time. Looking for a car hauler for my AutoCross car. Only pulled a utility trailer with it so far so no feedback about towing as of today
Still enjoy it. Comfortable and plenty of power. Wife backed the side of her car down my rear...
Hoosier SM7 slicks and Konig Heliums in the car. Just waiting on 16" meatballs for the doors and hood plus my numbers.
Will be running ATL Region in the SSM class and hoping to get at least 1-2 events before the season ends.
I am still contemplating removing my e-brake on my Miata (homo ride). Less rolling resistance and track modding the rear calipers can give a true instant "off rotor" pad feel to the rear brakes upon pedal release. Takes getting use to, but the extra control is nice. If you track the car mostly...
Picking up Hoosier slicks for my 93' supercharged Miata this weekend. Have all the decals for the car too. Will be running in SSM class for SCCA. Will post pics once the tires are mounted on my Heliums and get the graphics on.
The only real absurdly priced brake jobs are vehicles with carbon ceramic rotors. I don't even think the Nismo GT-R's have those though.
IIRC, a few guys on you tube posted invoices for pads and rotors on Ferrari 360's and 458's with iron rotors, and even they were under $3k I think.
I agree...
4-runner gets my vote, just don't get too excited about that 3rd row, its actually really small. Gas mileage isnt great either. If you can look past those two things, I would definitely vote Toyota.
The only Grand Cherokee I would own would be the SRT-8, They just lost their appeal after 2004...
Weight is why I would take out the soft top I lieu of a roll bar. The hardtop and supercharger adds a good bit. I took it across our certified truck scale today. Weighed 2,520 with me in it. A roll bar would add even more.
ETA: I weigh 197, so the car is 2,323 with a full tank of methanol and...
What color is that top? I have a hard top and thought about removing the the soft top all together and just putting a roll bar in, but it may be nice to have a descent soft top still.
I would also recommend the shifter first over power adders. It really is that nice.
Ok, FINALLY got to get out and drive it pretty hard today. The spring rates and valving on those coil overs are fantastic AND they are not obnoxiously stiff. Just a tiny amount of entry understeer but completely neutral after that. The s-drive tires are ok, but I would love to put a set of...
