Skip the biggest problem really is it's not throwing any codes at all. There are several sensors down there and I hate to start pulling stuff off and end up replacing more stuff. I can't complain 12 years old and 256,000 miles. If it will hold on 6 more months I am good.
All my vent lines return to the charcoal canister and then back to the filler neck. Nothing for a dirt sober to get into. Gonna price a charcoal canister I guess.
Video makes perfect sense. I had it on my buddy's rack and looked at everything from the filler neck down. If I remember correctly there is a plate under the rear driver passenger seat that will come up and I might be able to access the vent hose. We looked for it but did not see it on the back...
No different gas stations. It's sporadic when it happens. But when it does it, it does a couple times in a row then it quits for awhile. And then starts back up whenever
Also looking at the explodes view if the vent hose is on the front then that is why I didn't see it. Guess I will see if the diagram reflects my year model
I am off Monday and will look at it again.
Filler neck tube is open and free of obstruction. The filler neck hose and vent has been completely disassembled to the tank. We then used a camera to look inside The tank and couldn't find anything.
I have a 77 CJ7 and the tops are interchangeable with most YJ's. My top is secured by four bolts and rectangular nuts on each side. In absence of the rectangular nut you can substitute them and use butterfly nuts. As far how the hard top mounts to the windshield on CJ's there was a metal strip...
It would be indeed. Their is a company out west that will install a diesel in a Rubicon now. I watched the video, but the big black cloud would be no fun topless in traffic!!!
My 77 rides and drives like new! New bushings all the way around new ball joints bearing etc. 33 inch tires with a 3 in CJ lift and I can drive this old thing with one hand.
Castor angle could be off also, which is typical with a lift. If you decide to go original look up Ga Jeepers on the Enet or Facebook. You will probably find somebody willing to trade original parts for yours and help you swap them. There is always tons of original parts on there for next to...
If it helps the motor came out of a 74 Javelin. Completely rebuilt and on the conservative low side is 300+ Hspr.
10 miles to a gallon lol, but so did my inline 6. But no struggle here on hills or anything else.
Yes it will!! But I put the motor in mainly for towing. I don't like to struggle going up hill. It has an edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carb
Thanks for the positive comments.
