I found federal auto match 325 packs for $21.16 at a Walmart in Roswell. 7 cents a round With tax. No limit. They had about 10. I bought 4. Is that a good or great price? I have had a good experience with auto match in the past in Ruger mark 4s and 10/22s.
The picture is definitely a forged upper. No way to CNC those angles at that price.
That said, I would be just as happy with a forged upper. They wrote it was 7075 upper and lower.
If I needed a cheap parts build, I would definitely try one of those.
Thanks for the picture. When I saw it I went back and ordered some more of the 147s. 11 cents a piece to my door is cheaper than berrys plated 147s. If I never shot steel at the matches I would have ordered a lot more. Just concerned about shooting steel at 30 feet with abused bent and pitted...
I saw a new model at Dahlonega gold and It was not a roll Mark. It looks like it was cut with a cnc mill or laser engraver. It looked cool but it is different from the roll marks.
Are all of the new colts market like I am describing?
If you want to cut the front sight post and put a full length FFT on it, it will look normal but the reduced dwell time would be my concern. I do not know how much of a reliability hit it takes but manufacturers wouldn’t use mid length and carbine length gas systems if the gun ran as good with...
I spotted a pile in the floor that I finished Sunday. It costs about a dollar a round to make at today’s component prices.
I did not buy the components at inflated prices and It is not legal for me to sell the ammo.
I enjoy pulling the handle much more than stacking it in boxes, I will get it...
Only a few people wrote in the reviews that pieces flew off during use.
I think I would rather have a basic quality CH that was less likely to fail.
If the CH fails it can make the gun useless.
I will be selling every factory round but my 9mm loading process turns out a pretty reliable round. I will not be out of ammo. Just out of factory ammo.
