  1. yet another one

No more so than it is now. As I and others have stated, it is political theater. Biden will be patting himself on the back for shutting down the nonexistent "gunshow loophole". If it serves anything, it is a warning to those you mentioned selling 5 or 6 different guns a month (or more) and...
  2. yet another one

If you have taken anything I said as being condescending then you misinterpreted my intent. I stated my opinion from my reading of the rule. Period. I have never been intentionally rude or condescending to anyone on this forum. I cannot help how other entities interpret or misinterpret the...
  3. yet another one

I deleted my post. I don't want to get into this same old discussion on another thread. There are only about 16 different threads on the same subject now.
  4. Getting rid of majority of collection & ATF new rule

I won't watch that. They are some of the worst fear mongers on the internet. Exactly what I have been referring to about internet talking heads. But please don't forget to click the subscribe button to show your support for the second amendment. (What they really mean is click the subscribe...
  5. Getting rid of majority of collection & ATF new rule

I guess I missed that. What are you referring to?
  6. Getting rid of majority of collection & ATF new rule

They actually clarified one thing for me. It says that if I were to log out a firearm to myself, legally it is still part of the business inventory for a period of one year from the date it was logged out to me.
  7. Getting rid of majority of collection & ATF new rule

Please show me any wording in this new rule that shifts the burden of proof from the accuser to the accused. That has never been the basis of criminal law in this country. Remember: "Innocent till proven guilty".
  8. Getting rid of majority of collection & ATF new rule

Where in the new rule do you see anything of that? It is just clarifying what has always been known by most of us just as you said. The point being, if you buy with the intent to sell for profit then you need an FFL and write up your own 4473. Nothing new, just clarification. For the most part...
  9. Getting rid of majority of collection & ATF new rule

To do what? Trade into something better? No it is not against the law. Buying with the intent to sell to make money without a license has always been against the law.
  10. Getting rid of majority of collection & ATF new rule

If you were to read the rule or even a good breakdown of it you will see that the guy who is selling a gun that has been in the safe for god knows how long is not the subject of this new rule, which is again just a clarification of the rules concerning who is a dealer, without much change from...
  11. Getting rid of majority of collection & ATF new rule

Plus you have to keep in mind the fact that they have absolutely no way of tracking what guns you have and what guns you have bought and sold or what you sold them for. They can (and have been for years) watch sites like these and do exactly as you say, look for a pattern of flipping. It is not...
  12. Getting rid of majority of collection & ATF new rule

The ATF is not concerned with how much you sold your gun collection for. Again, they are concerned with those who are buying guns with the intent to sell at a profit. It doesn't help when every youtube talking head lies to their viewers, uses scare tactics and pure BS to scare the public just...
  13. Getting rid of majority of collection & ATF new rule

This new rule does not pertain to you unless you bought the guns with the intent of selling for a profit. Just list your guns and sell them for fair market value and don't worry about all the nonsense you read on the internet.
  14. 18yo to buy a pistol? Riiiiiiight

A NICS check would not even be completed on an 18 year old because the FFL would know he could not legally sell it to them. Back when I first started I missed the fact that the guy was not old enough and the NICS examiner caught it and told me they could not complete the NICS check because the...
  15. 18yo to buy a pistol? Riiiiiiight

Different story altogether. He sold or gave a handgun to a person he knew could not legally own it. An 18 year old can legally own a handgun. He just cannot purchase it from a federally licensed dealer.
  16. 18yo to buy a pistol? Riiiiiiight

You are correct. I mis-read that. I will fix my original post.
  17. ATF changes definition

It would be nearly impossible to prove that he bought a gun with the intent of selling it 50 years later and making a profit. That has nothing to do with what this new rule is about anyway. It plainly states that it does not effect this sort of transaction. From the OP's link: “The final rule...
  18. ATF changes definition

Nothing happens. Did he buy it with the intent of selling it 50 years later at a profit? If not then none of this applies.
