No doubt on the fishing and the dumb kid in the city. Again, I'm no lawyer and not up on NYC laws, but if he consented to a vehicle search would not that consent covered anything in the vehicle, locked away or not? There must be something to it if the lawyer thinks he can get it tossed :confused:
I know some felons, depending on the offense can get a restoration of rights after a time, but like you I don't know if reckless driving would apply to this.
The way I understand it, consignments have to be 4473'd at pick up. Repairs don't if it's the same person that brought it in, you just put there info in the A&D. Any thing left overnight goes in the book.
I'm sure others will chime in with a more "legal" answer, but my understanding is that they'll need to be entered into the A&D book and out of it when they go back home with you.
