    Thanks. I had to zoom in so it's a little grainy. It was 13 yards away from me and sat there for 30 minutes or so. Right about dark it started hooting with another owl that I didn't see.

    Ahh, looked a lot like a copperhead to me and given the small size I couldn't tell it wasn't. Next time I'll look much closer but I still don't know that I could tell difference in one that small. Do the heads of juveniles alread have the trademark triangle shape?
