Last year was my first time going. This year I hope to go at least 2 days. Me and a buddy were looking around the "small" room, which has a ton of vendors. We thought that was it. A guy at a booth asked if we'd been to the main room yet. We found the main room, and it was awesome!

I use a KME guided sharpening system. I start with 100-300 grit, then progress to 1500 and strop for a nice satin edge.
If I'm feeling crazy, I'll go to 12,000 on the stones then strop to .5 micron for a scary sharp mirror edge.

Well done, and happy double digits to your son! We usually visit SMKW everytime we visit Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Hard to beat a Spyderco. One of my favorite EDC's is a Manix 2 G10.

As of late, my 3 favorite EDC's are my Spyderco Manix 2 with G10 grips, Kershaw Blur, and Kershaw Launch 5.
One of you guys mentioned Kershaw Guy last year and have been costing me money lol.
That is good news. I have been following this thread and one on another forum. I love knives and I don't know anything about bladesmithing, but I know a lot about customer service, and this guy failed you on that. Someone should have told him about the dangers of negative advertising! I...
