    AWESOME! I'm looking to eventually have a custom made chefs knife and after meeting you thought a Fat knife might just meet muster.

    Appreciate it, but I really don't have the time right now. After school, wedding, and the bar is passed I may actually have free time again.

    It curved up in my forge, so it trash. I need to find decent metal, but I'm really to busy to work on one right now. That and my technology recent decided to all fail on me at once, so fun money is tied up.

    It's something I'd like to get better at. I'll have to hunt down a steel supplier. One thing that really throws me is how a blade is "profiled", where the knife begins to get much thinner about 1/4 from the top, is that able to be done by hand?

    It's 6.5" from tip to tip, I think it's going to need a forge. Anyone have any good easy forges for use with propane or MAPP?
