I think it was supposed to be around 2 years ago, but Bergara wouldn't confirm anything. I had 3 of them come into the shop in 2021 with the exact same issues, and the replacement shrouds that Bergara sent were still the cast shrouds. All of those rifles were less than a year old. Bergara...
These were factory bolts that had never been apart. The shroud is made of cast metal. The threads sheared under recoil. One of the bolt bodies had the threads completely trashed. They didn't shear from some numb nuts with a pipe wrench over tightening them.
I hate to be that guy, but those aren't Cokes...they are targets, or "footballs". Cokes only came on N frames, and the checkering goes further down on the grip. They'd also have the diamonds around the the grip screw holes if they were cokes. Those are still quite valuable, though, not "Coke"...
I'm not a fan of FedEx based on my past experience with them. If they'll leave a package at the front door of a closed gun shop and forge the signature, I'm sure they'd let anyone sign for it. This was the Tallahassee, Fl hub, so YMMV. I'd rather sign for the item that I paid for than have...
When I was in S Ga, FedEx would routinely leave firearms at the front door of the shop I worked in, after business hours. We'd come in the next morning and luckily find them waiting by the front door. We complained multiple times about the fact that signature was required, and no one was there...
I was an LEO instructor. I also carried a J in a concealment holster strapped to my vest for nearly the entirety of my career. Tried carrying a G27/G26 for a while and eventually went back to the J because of the slimmer profile. I still carry one in a pocket holster when clothing prevents...
Not AR related, but....found a threaded pipe nipple used as a stock bolt spacer on this Stevens 94. I'm always finding interesting things used as shotgun magazine plugs, but this one caught me off guard.
If you're just doing rattle can, find someone with a vinyl cutting machine, and have them cut out some vinyl stencils to whatever size and design you find. If you're doing Cerakote, you will need to use a high heat vinyl by Avery.
I would suggest the Bergara, but I have had 3 come into the shop with broken bolt shrouds. One had the threads stripped out, another with the rear half of the shroud broken off, and the third that broke the shroud leaving the threaded portion in the bolt body. The shrouds are cheap steel, and...
To the original question, yes....go the Dueck Defense RBU route. I've done several of these and was quite impressed.https://dueckdefense.com/shop/handguns/glock/rbu-multiple-red-dots/
Yes sir, this one was well before the salt wood problem. All numbers matched, and it was a fixed choke (one of the most common) non ribbed barrel. The butt plate was original, but had a chip out of one corner. I was not familiar with the "X" prefix serial numbers, but I'm learning.
The Benelli and SPAS were used by law enforcement, because it allows the use of low recoil/less lethal rounds that will normally not cycle a full sprung semi auto. If this isn't in your plans, you're really wasting money on a feature you will never have a practical use for.
