I did this one for my Nephew in burnt bronze and graphite black. Greek Molon Labe lettering on left side of receiver and a Spartan helmet on the right side.
Looks like a .38 S&W single action Third model. It came blued with wood grips or nickel with black or red hard rubber monogramed grips. The trigger is the single action type and the trigger guard makes it third model. serial numbers range from 1 to 28,107 and manufactured from 1891-1911
These parts are not to easy to replace. Start with the interceptor latch on the receiver, it's easier. You will need a set of snap ring pliers with right angle tips that will fit in the receiver and they might have to be filed to fit the hole of the snap ring. If you try to remove it with a...
This is how these parts should work. The disconnector (part on trigger assembly) is pushed down by the hammer spring when the hammer falls. This in turn pushes the interceptor latch (part attached to receiver) down in the rear and up out of the way at the front, releasing the next cartridge in...
Pay someone to do it. Warping is the biggest problem with color case hardening. The part has to be properly supported/braced to keep warping to a minimum.

Get a cheap chisel and grind the point flat. Next grind all sides parallel so they fit exactly in the screw slot both thickness and width. Heat the screw till it is hot to the touch. Use a cresent wrench or vise grips on the chisel to turn the screw slowly while tapping the chisel with a hammer.
