Are you assuming that you confront the target BEFORE you ratchet a round into the chamber? Would you wait until you confront the target BEFORE you put a round into the chamber of the semi auto. If so, you probably would already be dead.
The Heritage is a good shooting gun, but if you shoot a lot of rounds loading quickly, it tightens up an will not rotate the cylinder.. The single six is a better gun

Are you using a 25 round mag? They had problems with those and you had to send them to Mossberg for an adjustment. After I did that, it. Worked as expected. Good luck, btw, don't try stingers in them. Won't feed.
