Cz75 SA with lots of goodies on it. I use it for 3 gun mostly and a little USPSA limited. It's for sale now because I want a shadow to use in production division.
Not my cup of tea but I can see some potential. Can you post a picture of what the insides of the grips look like? I think those could be a neat starting point for grips for large handed people if there is enough material to cut off the trigger guard and rail and file and re stipple them.
Can't go wrong with cr speed or double alpha. I have a cr speed now and have used it for a year and a half. I'm about yo get a DA to set up with my open setup.
Had one for a while. It ran good but I had to put in oversized roller because the bolt gap shrank after about 300 rounds. Mine would run the cheapest crap ammo I could find. Only sold it because I wanted a AR for 3 gun.
My 3 gun setup goes against the grain but works pretty well for me. It is a light weight DD 16 inch midlength barrel. Pretty much any AR will be as accurate as needed for most 3 gun competitions( at least the local ones, most are relatively short range).
I do recommend a free float tube, and...
They seem like great guns. I was close to buying one for a 3 gun shot gun build but found a Remington Versamax tactical and went that route. Briley gun smithing has lots of parts for the affinity if you need them.
Check the chamber. If it is one of the very early ones it may not have the flutes. There were more than a few accounts of that happening. I figured that all those would have been taken care of by now. Is it an older one that was put into the safe and not shot?
Oil for some stuff and grease for others. Sounds crazy but the best I've found is Torco engine assembly lube. Got the idea after buying Brian Enos SlideGlide. I opened it up and immediately though I bought the most expensive engine assembly lube ever. It does work great however.
Definitely, any one who hasn't shot a pistol match of some type is really missing out.
Also it doesn't seem to get as much attention but steel challenge ( they do a really good match in Griffin,GA) is great fun. It's the equivalent of drag racing with a gun.
I use Tifosi's with interchangeable lenses. Some of their models come with rose tint, gray tint, and clear lenses. They seem to be very high qualitynformthe price.
