I have a friend who wants a handgun for protection - he has to visit bad sections of town at night sometimes for his job.
His mechanical aptitude peaked the day he learned how to operate a manual screwdriver.
I can imagine the gun getting ZERO attention for many years and then being brought...
I never imagined that a question about shooting a 9mm short in a 9mm pistol would cause so many people to hyperventilate.
To those of you who peed their pants, please accept my most sincere apology.
Now, get out of the fetal position, off the floor, and try to get a handle on your nervous...
Below is a video of shooting a 380acp in a 9mm Glock. The only issue is not enough power to cycle. I was thinking a weaker recoil spring might allow it to work.
What do you think about the ability to shoot a 380 cartridge in a pistol chambered for 9mm?
I know the recoils spring would need to be lighter.
Would the gun function?
Would the mags work?
I have seen people shoot 40 cal in a 10mm Glock with no issue.

I would say the needed criteria would be:
Low recoil
Decent round capacity
East to operate in regard to making ready to shoot and shooting. Not including cleaning and loading.
Terminal effectiveness
A small enough grip that a small weak hand could hold on...
Question: Why does Kimber have a bad reputation?
I don't know. The first that I heard of Kimber was in the 90's. Their stock 1911's had features only seen prior on custom pistols such as decent sights and beavertail grip safety. Their reputation was stellar. At the time they only made two...
There seems to be an awful lot of hoopla around 3 pretty new 9mm models.
I am talking about the:
1) Dan Wesson DWX
2) Dan Wesson DWX Compact
3) CZ Shadow 2 Compact
Which one would you prefer to own and why?
If you must, feel free to write-in your fav.
I have heard good things about this semi. I think Mossberg recommends cleaning it at least every 1500 rounds.
It is supposed to be very reliable with a wide range of ammo.
Any of you have first hand experience with one?
