Yeah, I first checked it wasn’t the release. It’s real tight on the front and back and sides. It’s so tight a little polishing isn’t helping. Looks like I would have to completely sand off the parkerizing or whatever the finish is...

From what I’ve seen it depends on which model line and quality of the glass. Same as with Leupold, Nikon, etc. Their lower-end models don’t compare to the upper-end IMO. I think the Crossfire, Diamondback, Copperhead are the budget lines and the Viper and Razor the upper-end. I never thought...
I guess I’m just too old to remember that far back... I bought a SS 10” back around 84. I remember when the 678G was introduced and really wanting one.
I like stopping in that place when I’m over that way. Not the nicest bunch around but like you say, they tend to have some unusual guns from time to time that you don’t see everywhere else.
