I still have 5 of them. 2 of the "F" models, and 2 of the "C" models. These sets have consecutive serial numbers that were bought by my dad and I. They were never sent back for the recall and have never been out of the boxes they came in.
I keep thinking one day they "might" be worth...
Here are my two. One full size and one compact.
Mostly they just sit in the safe until a special day comes along and I decide to shoot a few rounds through them. I bought them and fixed them up "just to have"....
I'd feel better if you could explain why people use "CCW" when they are referring to a license or permit. It happens all across the country.
It's your thread, you do what you think is best.

Certified Carry Weapon
In 61 years I have never heard of this. Does it come from a time or place where a license/permit was issued to a person for a specific weapon only?
Multiple licenses/permits were required if you had multiple weapons you wanted to carry?
Very interesting, thanks.
I've...
Exactly what does CCW stand for anyhow?
1. Concealed Carry Weapon?
2. Carrying Concealed Weapon?
3. Something I have not thought of?
How would these words fit into the question asked? "I would like a peek at your Concealed Carry Weapon"?
Good eye. Sloppy typing habits. But notice I did not call it the "Country of Georgia". Typing errors are one thing. Using the completely wrong words are another.
I'll go correct it now!!!
Thanks,
Jerry
Is it possible we could just get people to stop saying "CCW"? There is no such thing in the State of Georgia.
We have a Georgia Weapons Carry License. That's it. Nothing else.
I understand that a lot of folks use the word "CCW", because that is what they are used to, or what they heard...
I have about 14 items on my Watch List right now. Every single one of them have a blanket statement about sales tax listed right underneath the picture.
I don't think GunBroker even gives the seller the option to put it in the description any more. I think it's part of the ad package for...
I have bailed on quite a few also.
If you figure in 3% credit card fees, so you can do an immediate payment, then $20-30 shipping, then $50-75 tax, you can easily add $100-125 to the purchase price of your firearm.
You really have to catch a good deal to make it worthwhile.
Sales tax is charged for all purchases on GunBroker starting this year.
They post all that info their rules and regulations.
It's the same almost everywhere. Online businesses are charging sales tax. GunBroker charged the tax, not the individual selling the product.
Not sure how it is...
I finally finished my collection last week.
It took my about 2 years to find each of these, and now that I have them home, I'm a happy guy....
All three brand new, 7 shot, .357 Magnum, in a nice stainless steel frame.
Enjoy....
I'm looking for a Ruger GP-100, in stainless, with a 2.5" barrel. Model number 01774.
I have found them listed online, but when I go to buy, they are always out of stock.
Local or online is fine with me.....

This is the best advice in this thread. Read it several times and try and soak in the info.
Stop saying "CCW". There is no such thing in the state of Georgia. We have and use a Georgia Weapons Carry License. Georgia does not have anything that resembles a "CCW".
A Georgia Weapons Carry...
Great information from both of you guys!!
Thanks for the info and insight. We had always assumed that we "knew" when they were bought, because of the job that my relative held. Now I have a much clearer picture.
Thank you,
Jerry
I recently had the opportunity to add some really nice revolvers to my collection. These have been in my family for more years than I can remember. Probably been around more years than I have been alive.
I'm 60 years old.....
There are 3 of them. All of them are in the original S&W...
