Idk. I’ve ran my CMC trigger through the wringer. Mud, submerged in water, sand, etc.. Haven’t tried the timney yet. Imho most triggers are not your failure points. Just find something that feels good to you and go from there. Only thing I would add is a single stage light trigger might go bang...
For bug out, definitely a full size AR or AK for that and a pistol. Maybe an SBR. At that point, hiding anything just isn’t a good idea. That would be a completely different scenario. Just normal hiking or camping where I may encounter a bear or mountain lion, I’d want to be able to get to...
Why not a 10mm handgun? Seems like it would fit that bill or even a 45. Honestly if you have time to pull out a rifle from your bag, open it up and engage something, then you really aren’t in a panic situation. If you ran across a bear or mountain lion that attacks you, you are t going to have...
Hershel wouldn’t be my personal pick, but he will be much better than what we have there today. So if he ran, yes I would vote for him. Collins would be the best person for the job I think.
Springfield 1848 Rifle with bayonet. Has the us army stamp on it. It was a confederate gun I’m told since the union did not use them. Has a couple notches cut in it also. It was found in a plowed up field in Wikenson county Georgia around 1900.
So 390 rounds, walking into the thick of it. That’s kind of my point. I carried a saw and usually had 3 drums on me, so 600 rounds. Usually my team members humped a couple more here and there. When I had my m4, l carried 10, plus an M9 with an extra 6.
This isn’t the end of the world and no civil war has broken out. If everyone just chilled out and not buy everything in sight, things would be ok. However, folks are gullible and panic ensues. Like really? How many ammo shortages and panic situations can you have in the past several years. It...
Cheap optics are fine if you’re just playing around at the range and not doing anything serious. However, if you’re competing or using it for serious stuff, no way.
I don’t think I’ve seen that optic offered to the public. It really makes sense to have something like that in this date and age of tech. No idea why this hasn’t been more broadly adopted. Put the crosshairs on the target, do your part and squeeze the trigger, hit. No holdovers, holdunders...
I am far from a grand master or anything. I can only share my experience. RDS are fun and way more accurate. Shooting plates and bowling pins, pfft. I looked like a pro doing it and was a lot faster overall. However, as most pointed out, it takes a good amount of time to get really good. I ran...
Oh geez, I don’t want much, but I’ve got expensive tastes. So what I do have is very expensive and most have a purpose.
What’s missing for me:
STI 2011
AR10 - Wilson, JP or something like that, would probably settle for a saint victor
Armscor vr80 - just look cool
Sig MPX competition
Henry...
I couldn’t get the magneto speed to work on my rifle. I didn’t have enough barrel to mount it close enough. When I got it mounted on the barrel, boom, it was blown off the rifle. Not good. I said nope.
I may just get the standard cheap chrono.
Anyone on here running a labradar? Just curious what your thoughts are.
I need to chrono some rounds from my AR for distance. I tried a magnetospeed, but it didn’t work with my rifle. Before I spend a ton of cash on a labradar, I wanted to get some thoughts.
I’ve shot both, but prefer irons. I was more accurate with a RDS if I took the extra split second to get full sight picture. But I was faster with irons and had higher scores. It just takes practice I know, but meh, I prefer irons.
I can’t say I’m a fan of the vcog, a bit too heavy for my liking, it’s pretty much identical to the standard trijicon accupower 1-8, only a lot heavier. I know the vcog isn’t popular in civilian sales.
