I second that. If Milsurp passes on it I am interested. Seems every time someone post a carbine up for sale I am always stuck at work or out of town. Missed several really nice carbines here lately.
You may have already thought of this, Try using a round wooden dowel when seating the primers and packing the wads in. This is how I once reloaded old shot gun shells. Wood should be less damaging to the cases. I imagine you paid a shiny penny for them too.
Those were the days. I remember buying the Remington in the red and green boxes for 4 to 5 dollars a brick. Used to buy the Imperials at a local bait store back in the late 60's early 70's for about .85 cents a box.
I will help you out of such a burdensome chore. Send me those M1 30 caliber carbines and I will take care of, OPPS! I mean clean them for you.:D
Nice collection.
Take a look at e-gunparts.com, (Numrich Arms). That place is usually one stop shopping for all your red neck needs.:D
Opps. Just took a look and it says they are sold out. Keep a check on the site for updates to inventory.
I think you have an old cartridge someone turned into trench art. Looks like someone made a drinking cup from it. This was big in WWII. Check out more of this stuff on ebay just to get an idea of what I am talking about. Not sure what caliber round that was. The expanded ring doesn't fit the 20...
The barrel on my tailgate has been fired plenty of times. I use the cap from a can of Edge shaving cream as a powder measure. Most of the time I fire them just for the sound. My kids and grandkids enjoy the show. As far as shooting powder on a good July 4th I will burn a can of Goex cannon...
Lets see if this will do it. This is just a rough start on the carriage. I like the flipper type hammer and a percussion cap for firing. The barrel has a bore of 1 3/4 inch for golf balls. The wheels and carriage were made from a plank of 1 5/8ths maple. The rings on the wheels are scrap brass I...
Indeed, when my two girls were real young we would shoot old Barbie dolls across the pond. Kinda twisted sick entertainment but it was fun and they had a few laughs. I made them from a 1/2 inch bore up to a 2 5/8ths bore.
I don't have this lil cannon but fired a few similar to it. Building cannons from scratch is a hobby of mine. They are really fun for holidays plus a great conversation piece.
