  1. Seems to me I love some pre 1880's rifles

I'll look for them this weekend.
  2. Seems to me I love some pre 1880's rifles

I might have some 24 ga. plastic shot shells I could give ya that will get ya shooting faster and cheaper. I once planned to get a snider but never did.
  3. My Snider Enfield .577 Warning, Picture Heavy!

Awesome, good to see it being fired for the first time in over 100 years! Excellent picture, well timed. Glad I was able to help. .
  4. What is a good price for a Hakim?

I think I paid $550 for mine, but the bore was bright and shiney and the rest of the rifle was in really good condition.
  5. My Snider Enfield .577 Warning, Picture Heavy!

    It came out pretty good.

Nice work, it came out really well.

  9. My Snider Enfield .577 Warning, Picture Heavy!

You can use 24 ga. shot shells for cases. I bought some in the hopes of getting a snider, but ran out of cash before I could.
  10. My Snider Enfield .577 Warning, Picture Heavy!

Are there any proofs on the barrel, or just the breech? They used some british breech blocks with Nepal made barrels. A really good one also has a british barrel, with "Steel" stamped on it. Sometimes the "Steel" is stamped on the bottom side. Here is a video a buddy of mine made on the...
  11. I picked up an unissued Mosin 91/30

The conditions you describe are typical of many of the refurbs. I have two in that shape, both refurbs. There are stamps on the stock and receiver which might indicate that. I also thought mine were new unfired, but identification of the stamps on the stock and receiver indicated...
