Seems to me I love some pre 1880's rifles

That shoot self contained metallic cartridges. They sure do cost alot to shoot though.

I snagged this 1871 .577 enfield snider. Already ordered some brass so I can make the case for it to shoot have dies coming and am searching for the best bullet mold that i will have to mill out to get the right size/weight/length projectile.

Cant wait hopefully in less then 2 weeks this rifle will fire for the first time in who knows how long!

Sweet. I shot a 1871 Springfield over the summer at 200 yds. The ammo was old so there were some hangfires. It's different and will give you the fever. Waiting for the range report.

I might have some 24 ga. plastic shot shells I could give ya that will get ya shooting faster and cheaper. I once planned to get a snider but never did.
