It hit a few people I know pretty hard. I don't think it was bad for any of them for more than 2 days though. You should be on the tail end of it. Keep drinking water and try to get some sleep. Good luck.
Yeah, this is freaking great. Prices are high because people are buying. Shelves getting full means people aren't buying as fast as stock comes in which means prices will start going down soon. Woo Hoo!
My bad then. He says "let me rephrase" at the start so I assumed there was an edit. That seems like a pretty light weight rant for 8 pages of responses, lol. slow day I guess.
LOL, I am guessing the OP edited the first post. As it reads now... yeah, I'd like to see prices in the ad titles.
Regardless of the "price gouging" or not, a price in the title would be nice for all items.
Yeah, I had one were I was firm on the seller paying the transfer cost. I don't mind a 4473 but I ain't paying for it. He agreed but basically figured it into his selling price (high) so we didn't come to an agreement though.
There's been a lot of sellers that have requirements I don't like...
I think it's nice to see a BOS debate. Haven't seen one in a while. They used to be a real regular thing. It does seem like there are a lot more BOS required sales than there used to be.
Most sellers are pretty cool with me when I say what I'm willing to do for a purchase. Some have gone from...
OGs complaining about new comers, or old people complaining about the next generation has been a thing for thousands of years. Old people quickly forget what pricks they were when they were younger. If you weren't an ahole, your friends probably were, or you didn't have many friends.
I've...
ah crap. I just deleted a response because my memory is failing.
I do think I checked on their stock a few weeks ago and was pretty sure they had a new G17 at about $500.
Yeah, I get that. If I saw a WTB ad for some gun that's been sitting in my safe for years, I might have a ballpark idea of what it's worth but wouldn't want to spend my time researching an exact price for something I didn't list.
I don't really understand the ignore list thing for people that have some ads out of whack. I have some listings that are apparently high because they aren't selling. I have one that I know is way above retail. That being said, it's not in stock anywhere and comparable listings (here and...
I really don't know if you're being sarcastic or not at this point.
- If it's sarcasm, bravo on some top tier trolling. Well done.
- If you're not sarcastic, bravo on some top tier mental gymnastic hypocrisy
What a fun thread, lol.
I wouldn't call you a POS but that's pretty much the definition of being a flipper. If you're buying/selling to make a profit, that's flipping. I'm not going to stress over it but that's what it is. Flipping is perfectly fine for some things. For firearms it's illegal without a license, I think...
Improper comma usage, I think. Should be "OK, boys and girls,..."
"wanna" - Adults shouldn't talk like that let alone type like that
"2" - Instead of making the adult level effort of "two"
Ha, I actually don't care about the grammar above but I do find it funny given the point you're trying to...
I really don't care what people price their items at. Market value is what it is.
It's a little tone def to say that pricing is just taking advantage of people that are unprepared or blow their money though. Sure, some people will fit that description. I suspect most are regular hard working...
I've done some trading and values always get a little more fuzzy like that. Can't remember if there was ammo or whatever in the trade years ago so it's tough to know what I have in some of these. Take a guess at market value and sometimes I'm just off. Breaking even is definitely great though...
gah, I had that happen once and it was the worst feeling. Multiple buyers in minutes... awe crap.
I don't try to screw people over but I'm not running a charity, lol.
Lose your job and find a new one that pays a lot less but increases work hours by a ton. Also, have your wife start a midlife crisis. Got life figured out again and start getting back into this stuff... right back in the middle of another damn panic, LOL.
As someone that took an ODT break for a few years I can pretty confidently say that the Trader part of ODT is actually better than ever. The site has grown so there's a lot more availability. Flippers and price gougers have been a thing since year one. It's not an ODT thing, it's a human thing.
