My wife and I camped on Upper Chatahoohee River Rd just north of Helen this past weekend. It's a nice USFS road for dual sport bikes, and we saw 7 or 8 come through there over the weekend.
I took the same path as the OP did. Did the sport bike thing for years, did some track days, and then a season racing. As I got older and rounder, I got out of it, but recently picked up a KLR650 that was nicely equipped. I thought I'd enjoy the service road riding more than I actually do...
1st thing I noticed was Corporal Psycho. That dude looks like a straight up killer. These kids were headed into Oran. Most don't realize that they were there fighting French traitors, not Ze Germans.
CDL since '97 with A/P....had a guy fail today because he thought that the in cab inspection and air brake test were 2 separate components of the test. When they ask if you are finished with the in cab, and haven't done the brake test, the answer is "no". Make a flow chart for the walk around...
Never had one go dead, which would've been real bad if we couldn't locate to retrieve it. It's been a while, but I think we were swapping them around the 2-3 wk mark. We could monitor battery status and change it accordingly. Unit was pinging on initial move, and then every 30 secs afterwards...
I was a narc officer for 5+ years. We used some by a company called "Stealth", but they were pretty expensive and had features that most users probably won't use. There's been tremendous advances in the last few years with tech that has brought the cost down. You'll most likely find reviews...
It's a 1/7, and a mid length. My bad. The one I bought was rifle length. https://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/fs-ballistic-advantage-5-56-18”-4150-crmov-1-7-hansen-barrel-240.2497801/
I had a Glock shipped in from another FFL. They boxed it in a Winchester ammo box, and left all of the markings visible. It's a true miracle of God that it made here on FedEx.
I've learned that the extended warranties are useless. They don't cover common things like blood stain and stripper glitter removal from interiors. Also things are looking up since my SS number has been cancelled and I no longer have to pay taxes.
My attorney, aka wife, used to specialize in adoptions. Her fees per adoption usually ranged between 1000-2500. DFACS adoptions she did for around 500 Adoption agencies are a for profit business engaged in selling you a baby instead of allowing you to adopt one.
When I cancelled everything I had that was affiliated with AT&T, I told the service rep that I wasn't even eating apples anymore, cause it starts with an A just like their bulls**t company. Any other company would be easier to deal with than those a holes.
I'd contact Lou Dempsey with Dempsey Auctions. He's a stand up guy, and does firearms, estate, equipment and a bunch of other auctions all over. If it's a large collection, it may be worth it.
Some of these overlapped, but here goes:
Police Officer
Deputy Sheriff (retired)
Gunsmith (still at it)
Entertainer Coach Driver (still doing that one some)
Truck driver-dad was owner/operator
TV/cell tower maintenance climber-don't drop a wrench
Scale operator at a landfill
