    I'm about 290lbs and bought some New Balance model 860s and they have held up great and I walk quite a bit on trails, dirt roads etc. my brother walks/runs a ton and really likes Hoka brand shoes. People also swear by on-clouds but I have never tried them.

    Oil it lightly with crisco or flaxseed oil then put in oven at 500 for 30 minutes and then cut the oven off. Leave it in till completely cooled.
