Too much guns, what's that mean?
It's like too much money, there's no such thing
It's like a girl too pretty with too much class
Being too lucky, a car too fast
No matter what they say, I've done
But I ain't never had too much guns
Most of the cyclists I see aren't exactly healthy and really shouldn't be wearing spandex in public. They all seem to ride towards Chick-fil-a coincidentally.
That is the math and yes it is an estimate.
The estimate has to do with determining the number of "normal" deaths for 2020. They're not just comparing to 2018. The number of deaths varies from year to year. Lets say 2.70M to 2.85M people die every year for the last 5 years. Then, in 2020...
I don't know if you guys remember how the mask thing started. I was watching it close because my wife was sewing masks like crazy from the very beginning.
At first, even Fauci said "we're really not sure that masks will be effective for the public but we're looking into it". Also.. "we are...
It's arguable how effective they are but agreed that it's not awesome. It won't stop an individual virus cell, but it will stop the water that you're breathing out that the virus cell is in.
What they are good at is catching mass germ spreading. When you cough and sneeze, you let out a lot more...
Totally agree. Many laws created in the name of safety are downright evil. I just don't think mask mandates or vaccines fall in that category.
For the record, I don't wear a mask because of any mandate. My wife started sewing masks for family and friends a year ago when officials on both sides...
Yeah, I get that in general about safety laws, but that really opens up a lot of stuff. Fact is that civilization wouldn't work without some safety related laws. It's a balancing act and there's lots of gray area.
Fair enough on the comparisons, point taken. Covid is much worse than the flu...
I guess I just don't see wearing a mask as punishment. I don't see wearing a seatbelt as punishment either. I guess I just don't get the OP's post then, lol.
Comparing apples to oranges isn't necessarily a bad thing. I can admit that is the tricky thing about comparisons though. Something is...
You're comparing US deaths to the world's population? I guess you wanted to throw a banana in, lol.
It's more like .2% of US pop. Sounds like a small number but it's like vehicle fatalities doubled (actually worse depending how you do the math)
Yes, you have some valid points there. They use some vague language and have some disclaimers. Those are math and statistics issues. I don't get hung up on Covid vs non-covid deaths, the overall excess number tells the story well enough.
If you remove those issues and basically look at the...
That article is from July 2020. It's almost irrelevant now. There were a ton of unknowns at that point and CDC had a lot of disclaimers then. Much time has past and there are still a lot of variables, but it's very clear that the death toll is much higher than normal now.
If you look at the death toll over the last year and compare it to the death toll in previous years, the count is well over 600k more deaths. You are right, we will never know the true count, but we know with certainty that it's really freaking high.
It's not politics in my view but it is very...
Hey, you know what else is funny? USA Covid deaths are approaching 200 times the number of 9/11 deaths. So it's like 9/11 happening every few days. Haha, masks r dum.
I generally defend the USPS, but wtf...
"Your item departed our USPS facility in ATLANTA-PEACHTREE GA DISTRIBUTION CENTER on April 17, 2021 at 11:27 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination."
In transit to the destination? Like it's going to be delivered after midnight? They...
