Last item on my upper build is holding me up. Got an A2 flash hider and crush washer going on a Faxon pencil barrel.
When I hand tighten the A2 + washer to the barrel, it's about a quarter turn past lined up when it hits the washer. So I'd need about 3/4 turn against the washer to line it up...
How far are you wanting to convert it? I did one myself, but only moved the trigger group, installed the stock/grip and converted to take regular mags. I didn't touch the handguard or front sight.
Looks like a bad detent. Used a brand new 1/8 bit, I had to clean a little of the finish out of the hole to get it through. But the detent still won't fit.
It's a shame as the EPT trigger seems nice but I can't try it out til I get this stupid detent in.
Starting finally building my second AR15 lower tonight and of course ran into an issue.

1. Set-screw gas block installed with the barrel dimpled correctly across from gas port.
