My carry guns, hunting rifles get bumped,dinged and generally live a rough life. I clean, oil and do all general maintenance, but I buy them to use them.
I'm not sure how I've done it, but it's happened to me in the past. You should be able to twist part of that bolt and it will go back in. Keep messing with the bolt and part of it will rotate. Sorry I can't be of more help, but it's definitely not permanently messed up.
That is not a crack where the screw is,it's supposed to be there. I know nothing about nickel finishes except that if you polish it a bunch,you could expose the copper under it. I'm not sure if all nickel guns have copper underneath.
