  1. Gunsmith to thread a barrel around Hoschton

Anyone know of a good gunsmith around Gwinnett, Hall, or Jackson counties that would be able to thread a barrel for me? I’m not even sure if the barrel is big enough to do it, but I’d like to take it to someone who knows what they are doing to give me an opinion on doing it.
  2. Adventures in stippling and cerakote...

I couldn't be happier with my G19 from Corey. Mine is the most recent FDE with the punisher stipple. The tree bark pattern is nice and doesn't rub raw for carry.
  3. Adventures in stippling and cerakote...

I’d love to get you mine when you get time for it.
  4. Adventures in stippling and cerakote...

Holy hell this is awesome work. Kind of makes me glad that I wasn't able to drop off my 19 to you yet because I'd love for you to do a cerakote like this on an AR pistol! PM incoming.
  5. Glock frame work in Gwinnett?

Wonder who you guys have used in the Gwinnett area for work on a Glock 19 frame? I am looking at getting a stipple, undercut the trigger guard, and remove grooves. I've seen some horrible stippling jobs, so I'm looking for someone that does really good work. I've liked some of the laser...
  6. Colt Competition 1911 .45 Project Gun, Complete!

I'm not really a 1911 guy, but this is a sexy piece.
  7. rust cleanup

    Yea, I am now curious...
  8. Having issues with SIG Mosquito

My new recoil springs came in yesterday, and I haven't had a chance to put one of them in yet. Has anyone used the high velocity one (the short stubby one) in their Mosquito and how did it work? I have no problem sticking with the standard one and just using MiniMag ammo 100%, but I was just...
  9. Having issues with SIG Mosquito

Okay, I fired 40 rounds through it this afternoon in the backyard using the mini mag ammo and after ensuring that the recoil spring was on the correct direction. And I did not have a single FTF or FTE. So my guess is that it was a combination of ammo/recoil spring.
  10. Having issues with SIG Mosquito

Anyone have a good how-to on removing that little lip at the top of the feed ramp? Polishing the feed ramp doesn't bother me that much, but taking a file/drimmel tool to my gun without a good set of instructions really worries me, as I have never done anything like this before. Thanks for all...
  11. Having issues with SIG Mosquito

I found out that the recoil spring apparently has a "front" side and a side that goes to the rear of the gun. I definitely didn't know that. So I opened up the gun, and sure enough, the spring was backwards. I don't know if it was like that when I was shooting, as I took it off when I cleaned...
  12. Having issues with SIG Mosquito

So far, it seems like I have had the best luck using the CCI minimag ammo.
  13. Having issues with SIG Mosquito

I'm wondering at what point a .22 becomes a "high velocity". The CCI Stingers that I was shooting are 1640fps and the CCI Mini-Mags that I normally shoot are 1260fps.
  14. Having issues with SIG Mosquito

Of course, the recoil springs on Sig's website are on back order. I called them and spoke with a guy who was very helpful and he sent me to topgunsupply.com because he knew for a fact that they had them in stock. 5 minutes later, I have a new standard and a high velocity spring on the way to...
  15. Having issues with SIG Mosquito

I've always used CCI with no problems. I was using the CCI Stinger's in it last night during the bowling pin shootout. I'm going to try it again this afternoon with my regular CCI ammo that I have always shot through it and see if that goes any better.
  16. Having issues with SIG Mosquito

Same spring that it came with when I bought it 2 years ago.
  17. Having issues with SIG Mosquito

I have had a SIG mosquito for a couple years now, and haven't had any problems with it until last night. I was shooting at a bowling pin shootout at my local range and didn't have any issues during the "warm up" shooting I was doing. Then during the 1st round, I had my 2nd shot fail to eject...
